Poor ol’ #9 has had a rough life. It has been somewhat of a test guitar as it was my first with a live back. I have done things to improve it as I learned more. I wasn’t paying attention and used two different size purflings on the top and back. The top was too thick. As an engineer I was too worried about come-aparts, and it played like a very heavy box. So, I sanded the finish off and thinned the top. The neck was an experiment gone wrong with a very pronounced “Vee” that I eventually sanded off. But, after all of that, people love to play it and hear it song. I’ve turned down many offers to purchase it, but know in my heart, that it belongs here with it’s Frankenstein-ian doctor. I usually have it with me, and you are welcome to play it.
